What did we do?

When the school first reached out, they had a vision for their outdoor space but weren’t quite sure how to bring it to life. They wanted a place that was not only safe and practical but also filled with the energy of discovery and learning. It was simply a large 150 yard grass field behind the school.

This school landscaping renovation transformed a bland area into an inspiring outdoor classroom. We also added two garden beds and a permeable paver track. Empire steps helped bridge the gap between indoor learning and the playground, inviting kids to step into a new kind of classroom.

A secure enclosed fence provided peace of mind for both teachers and parents, ensuring that the space was both engaging and safe. The regrading and then seed and blanket will help ensure the area doesn’t become a swamp like it used to be.

The children have embraced this new environment with joy and enthusiasm in the past few weeks of warmer weather. Every day, the outdoor classroom fills with laughter and lively discussions, turning lessons into memorable experiences under the open sky.
